Flights
I never rely on just one booking sight to when searching for the best flight. I check multiple sights and always cross check for the best deals and flight itineraries. 🙂
CheapOair is usually my go-to website to compare prices. I honestly have the best luck with CheapOAir and it’s my personal favorite! I absolutely love it and I never book a flight without at least looking at prices here first.
Skyscanner is also a great platform and I check it often as well. I have found great flight deals on this website and love how easy it is to check specific dates.

Accommodations
Booking.com is by far the best overall, comprehensive hotel booking website. I love how reputable it is and it allows you to see ratings, maps, and loads of other info!
Airbnb is possibly one of my favorite websites! Do you want a house, a room, or even just a couch? No worries, Airbnb’s got you covered! It’s a super unique option and can be a really cheap option as well.

HostelWorld has a special place in my heart because I am truly a backpacker at heart. Whenever I am traveling solo (and even when not traveling solo) I can’t resist an amazing hostel experience. I have stayed in SO many hostels around the world and I have had the best experiences. You can definitely find some really cool hostels but the real gems are the connections and fellow travelers you get to share your journey with. #priceless
FaithStay is a unique little find that I didn’t stumble upon – they stumbled upon me. FaithStay’s heart is centered around sharing and spreading Christian hospitality around the world. They operate similarly to Airbnb in that they connect welcoming hosts with friendly travelers looking for a more unique and intimate travel experience.

Transportation
RentalCars.com is a reliable company you can trust to find the cheapest prices. I honestly find it such a pain searching for rental cars, but this website makes it painless. Definitely recommend giving it a try.
Eurail is definitely my go-to if I am traveling throughout Europe. Eurrail connects you to 28 European countries and is great because you can sleep on the train and wake up in your destination. Magic!
Travel Insurance/Travel Planning
World Nomads Travel Insurance is the company I go to for travel insurance. I rarely look at any other website honesty. They are reputable and reliable which I why I recommend them. See current rates here.
iVisa is a wonderful site that allows you to know what visa you need for anywhere in the world. It’s important to know that iVisa does charge an admin fee, but it’s worth the money to have a hassle free visa process.
Lonely Planet is my favorite resource when planning out a trip. I absolutely love the information plus added history they provide. Of course I also read blog posts about specific destination so I have a personal opinion of what it is like to go there.
Luggage
Backpacking backpack – I have to admit that I have been known to go cheap and just backpack with my high school Jansport book bag. BIG mistake. I then bought a knock-off REI backpack while in China, which naturally fell apart in less than a month. Sometimes I’ll never learn. Basically, I highly recommend investing in a solid backpacking backpack and I completely recommend the Deuter Act Lite 45+10 women’s backpack. It’s amazing and perfect for comfort and durability – not to mention the pink color looks good too. 🙂 See current prices here.
Suitcase – I absolutely love my Brookstone hardshell suitcase! I seriously take it everywhere from overnight getaways to week-long trips. It is so spacious, and I am in love with the 4-wheel abilities. It’s so easy to maneuver through an airport and I’ve never had a problem fitting it in overhead luggage bins. I don’t check bags unless it is absolutely necessary, and with the Brookstone suitcase I seriously never have to. 🙂 See current prices here.
Packing Cubes – I am sooooo guilty for having a messy suitcase and never being able to find what I’m looking for. But after buying these packing cubes? Now I am organized and put together. Well, as much as I can be. 😉 A lot of packing cubes aren’t sturdy or the zipper easily breaks. That’s why I recommend these ones – they work great and are really cute, too! See current prices here.
