Wow, I can’t tell you how excited I am to write this blog post!
The past few years have been a whirlwind of adventures both personally and professionally, and I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for what the Lord has done in and through this blog and platform.
But you see, when the Lord put the inspiration in my heart to start Lavender Vines “the blog”, He also put a dream in my heart for Lavender Vines to be more than just a blog, but for it to really be a shop filled with inspirational Christian gifts and stationery.
Today is the first step in that direction, and I am so excited and proud to be launching a collection of inspirational Christian encouragement cards with you!
These Christian cards have been on my heart for a long time, and I am beyond excited to finally be able to share them with you!
How it All Began: A Christian Greeting Card Business
It all started back in 2016 when I was going through easily the most painful time in my life, my divorce from my ex-husband (to read my full testimony click here!).
During this time, I felt so empty.
The things that used to bring me joy like travel, shopping, fashion, home décor (you get the idea), just didn’t anymore. It all seemed so meaningless, and I found no real comfort in any of it.
Even the company of loved ones like friends and family couldn’t pull me out of the pit of sadness I seemed to be trapped in.
I felt like no one could relate with what I was going through. It was like my pain and I had moved and were now living on an island that no one else could reach.
No one, except for the Lord.
Jesus was the only one that could permeate through my sad and broken heart.
The love of God literally swooped in and comforted me when nothing else, and no one else, could.
When I read God’s Word, it filled me and provided an overflow of hope and strength.
All of a sudden, instead of fear, I felt brave.
Instead of defeat, I felt empowered.
It was like I had unlocked this magical key to hope and restoration, and it was called: The Bible.
God’s Word is powerful, and for the first time in my life, I was experiencing that truth first-hand.
I began to wonder how powerful it would be if when we see a friend struggling, we could send them a message of encouragement rooted in God’s Word. Our words may fall short, but God’s Word lasts forever.
With that seed planted in my heart, the idea of Lavender Vines as a Christian greeting card company was born.
And now (ahem…it only took me a few years) I am very excited to make steps towards making that dream a reality.
I can proudly say that our mission is to create beautiful, purposeful designs that share a message of God’s faithfulness, hope, and love…and that is exactly what we’ve created!
The First Collection
This first collection includes a set of nine Christian cards inspired by a motivational or encouraging Bible verse (however, the 9th one had a misprint so it will be available soon – ugh facepalm).
It was important for me to share God’s full Word, and not just an inspiration of it, so on the inside of each card you will find the full Bible verse that was used as inspiration.
I decided to start with nine designs, but honestly, I had to limit myself because I had so many ideas. I literally can’t wait to design and create more! 🙂
These cards are meant to be shared at literally any occasion or holiday. They are perfect for baptisms, confirmations, graduations, birthdays, holidays, get well, sympathy, or simply “just because”.
I feel they are perfect if you are wanting to send a friend a message of motivation and encouragement that’s rooted in God’s Word. 💗
The quality of the card was also very important to me.
Each card is made using a premium, heavyweight cardstock and is digitally printed to show the vivid colors and crisp text.
I decided to go with an A2 card size (4 ¼ X 5 ½) to give them a custom, boutique feel which I personally love!
Another added bonus is each card is made using gold foil.
I created the designs using a handwritten script font and had the gold foil applied using the traditional hot stamp method after printing.
All in all, each card is designed and created with love, and I hope they are an encouragement to you, and you love them as much as I do!

1. Child of GodThe “Child of God” card was the first design idea I had. I didn’t have to think about it too hard, I feel like I’ve known exactly what it would say and how it would look for years.
We base our identity on so many things, but first and foremost, we are children of God. He lovingly calls us His children, and it is with absolute joy we call Him our Father. Other ways of identifying ourselves may come and go, but our identity will always be rooted in whose we are, not who we are.
Inside verse: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.”
1 John 3:1
2. Color Block You AreThe “Color Block You Are” card was inspired by wanting people to know, without question or doubt, who you are in Christ.
The enemy loves to attack our self-worth, but the truth is we are worthy, chosen, valuable, and enough because we are children of God and we are made in His likeness and His image.
This card is to help you remember your worth when the lies feel greater than the truth.
Inside verse: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1
3. God’s MasterpieceThe “God’s Masterpiece” card was also a card I knew I wanted to design for years. The Bible verse that inspired this card has been special to me for a long time, and I felt it needed to be created in way that resembled the work of art that we are as God’s creation.
That’s why I designed it as if the text was inside a picture frame. Like an artist would frame his artwork, we are the artwork of God.
God designed us to be His masterpiece and workmanship, created to be special, unique, and gifted with a specific calling and purpose.
Inside verse: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10
4. Brave & CourageousThe “Brave & Courageous” card is really a battle cry for all believers. When life hits us with ups and downs, we must remember that the Lord has actually called us to be brave and courageous throughout the storms of life.
When you are scared, stressed, anxious, sad, or at our wits end and feel like giving up, never forget that the Lord is with you. We must be brave and courageous because we are never alone, it is the Lord who fights our battles for us.
Inside verse: “Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14
5. Never Abandon – coming soon!
There was a typo on the inside of this card, so it needs to be re-printed. But I will have it available soon!
6. Cast Your CaresThe “Cast Your Cares” card was actually inspired by the popular Finding Favour song, Cast My Cares – listen to it here!
I had this song on repeat when I was struggling and going through a hard time. However, it was pure freedom to realize I didn’t have to deal with my pain by myself, but instead I could trade my pain for Christ’s peace.
Like the lyrics of the song say, “He is strong enough to hold it all. He’s the anchor of our hope, the only one who’s in control”.
Inside verse: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
7. But First, Jesus (Rose)The “But First, Jesus” card was created as a reminder to keep Christ first in your life.
It’s so easy to get things out of order and seek the things of this world first, and then seek Jesus with the left-overs of our day. But we must remember to seek Him first because when we put Christ first, everything else that we desire is added to us.
Inside verse: “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33
8. But First, Jesus (Robin)I decided to have another color option for this card just for funsies! Click here to view.
9. More Joy PleaseNo thanks, I have enough joy – said no one ever.
The “More Joy Please” card was inspired by my own curiosity between the difference between happiness and joy. When I researched it, I realized that happiness can be up one day and down the next because it’s an emotion that depends on your circumstance.
Joy is different.
Joy is something you have despite the season you are in.
You can be going through a rough season, but still have joy.
Joy doesn’t waiver. It’s an internal steadiness, calmness, and assurance because you know that no matter what happens, everything will be okay because of the faith, salvation, and life you have in Jesus Christ.
Inside verse: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
I am so excited to share these cards with you, and I hope they are a source of hope and comfort for you!
Lots of love,
Tiffany
