25 Bible Verses About Fear that Will Fill You With Courage

Bible verses about fear that will fill you with courage
Did you know that there are a lot of bible verses about fear? The Bible actually talks about fear 70 times in the NIV to be exact. And that’s not even including similar commands such as “fear not” and “do not fear”. With that kind of repetition around one subject, there is no doubt in my mind that this was not put in the Bible on accident. Fear is an interesting thing. Fear is the killer of dreams. It cripples you and leaves you handicapped far more often than any disease.  But God doesn’t want you to be handicapped by fear. In the Bible, God repeatedly tells us that we have nothing to fear. Of course, in reality, we have a lot to fear. Random, scary, out of our control things happen all the time. But yet, God tells us not to be afraid and that He will be with us wherever we go. God wants to encourage us that with Him by our side, we have nothing to fear. Our God is greater than any earthly thing that could happen to us. When you have moments where doubt and fear creep in, look to these bible verses and know that with God you truly have nothing to fear.

I think my favorite is Psalm 56:3. I always remember this Steve Green video with this song from when I was growing up. I have definitely cried this song out in my prayer closet in the middle of a panic attack!
