Visiting Acadia National Park in the fall was absolutely amazing! It is the perfect fall getaway location. If you do decide to visit Acadia during the fall season, I would highly recommend checking the Maine fall foliage website to stay updated on the weather.

I stayed in Acadia National Park for two full days, and it was so beautiful! The trip was a bit last minute, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to find accommodation in Bar Harbor. However I would highly recommend staying there if possible. Definitely check out 2 Cats Bar Harbor, which is where I would have loved to have stayed. If you can’t stay there, then hear their breakfast is amazing, so definitely go there for breakfast or brunch!

I drove drove the 27-mile, park loop road and loved all of the major stops along the way! Favorites were Thunder Hole, Pebble Beach, Jordon Pond, and Cadillac Mountain. I especially loved walking along the Carriage Roads, and hiking up Bubble Rock Trail was a real treat for those gorgeous views. ?

I especially loved the infamous Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse! I actually went twice at sunset for photos. This is also a great location for night photography, but unfortunately the weather didn’t quite cooperate for Milky Way photos.

Above all, Bar Harbor was my absolute favorite! I could have stayed there for days strolling around the main streets, and popping into boutique shops with a coffee in hand from Coffee Hound Coffee Bar.
